Lindenwood’s win improves their season record to 18-4 and 9-3 in MIVA play. Muir was a standout performer in the match, leading with 21 kills, five digs, and four aces, showcasing his skills on the court.
In another development, Austin Peay State University’s softball team faced a setback, losing 10-4 to Central Arkansas. Austin Peay initially took the lead, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning, but Central Arkansas responded strongly, scoring five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to secure their victory.
Alanah Jones pitched for Austin Peay, throwing 2.0 innings and striking out three batters, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in their favor.
Looking ahead, Purdue Fort Wayne will travel to Charlotte for matches against Queens on April 2 and 3, aiming to bounce back from their recent loss. Meanwhile, Austin Peay and Central Arkansas are set to conclude their series with a decisive contest at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
