Michael Sheen will reprise his role as Aziraphale in the much-anticipated third season of Good Omens, set to premiere on May 13, 2026. The finale episode is expected to be a substantial 90 minutes long, promising a thrilling conclusion to the beloved series.
The series, based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, follows the unique bond between the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley. Sheen recently teased that the finale will include moments that fans will love and spark debate, stating, “I laughed and I cried. There’ll be bits you absolutely love and there’ll be things you’ll argue about of course.”
Season 2 of Good Omens concluded in July 2023, leaving fans eager for the next installment. However, the production faced challenges, notably the exit of Gaiman following accusations of sexual assault, which he denies. A total of nine women have accused him of misconduct, complicating the series’ trajectory.
Despite these controversies, Gaiman contributed to writing the finale, although he was not involved in its production. Sheen confirmed that a screening of Season 3 took place in December 2025, generating excitement among fans.
Sheen expressed gratitude for the series’ journey, noting, “It should have been 6 episodes but it’s not. Thank God for what it is. Brilliantly directed, beautiful performances, fantastic new looks, incredible work all round.”
As the premiere date approaches, anticipation continues to build, with many eager to see how the series will wrap up its storylines. Details remain unconfirmed regarding the specific plot points and character arcs that will unfold in the final episode.
