This decision came after the couple initially planned a larger celebration for Fall 2026. “We decided to have a small elopement-style weekend in Nashville with just our immediate families, and save the bigger celebration for sometime next year,” Steven shared.
Steven proposed to Candice in April 2025 at their Nashville home, a moment Candice cherished, stating, “I love that he asked me to marry him in what has become our 100-year-old house here in Nashville.” The couple’s journey took a significant turn when they discovered Candice was pregnant, prompting them to elope.
As they prepared for their wedding, Candice faced challenges in finding a wedding dress that fit her baby bump. “Shockingly, there’s not a huge market for wedding dresses that fit over a baby bump,” she remarked, highlighting the unique circumstances surrounding their nuptials.
In addition to their wedding, the couple is eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child, a baby boy, expected in May 2026. Candice is already a mother to two daughters from a previous marriage, aged 9 and 5, adding to the excitement of their growing family.
