Bryson DeChambeau stated, “It’s completely untrue. I’m working as hard as I can to find a solution.” This comes amid growing concerns over the future of LIV Golf.
As of early Tuesday, DeChambeau has denied reports suggesting he is seeking an exit from the league. He emphasized his commitment to making team golf work and growing the game globally.
LIV Golf faces uncertainty after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced it would withdraw funding at the end of the 2026 season. DeChambeau’s contract with LIV Golf is also set to expire at that time.
The league is actively seeking new financial backers due to this impending withdrawal. LIV Golf initiatives have expanded significantly, increasing its league sponsors from 11 to 20 and team sponsors from 9 to 50.
Ticket sales have surged, showing a more than 130% increase compared to last year. This growth reflects a strong interest in team golf events and junior golf academies, which DeChambeau mentioned are being developed.
DeChambeau’s recent acquisition of Sportsbox AI for an eight-figure sum further indicates his dedication to LIV Golf. He remarked, “We’re building a bunch of junior golf events right now and each [LIV] team is looking to build junior golf academies.”
Despite these developments, the exact future of LIV Golf after 2026 remains unclear. Officials have not confirmed who will replace the PIF funding or how it will impact ongoing PGA Tour negotiations.
This situation continues to evolve as DeChambeau and other players navigate their roles within LIV Golf’s framework.
