Pasaporte: U.S. to Feature Donald Trump on New Passports

pasaporte — US news

The U.S. will issue passports featuring Donald Trump’s image to commemorate the country’s 250th anniversary. This announcement has sparked significant backlash and criticism.

As of early Tuesday, the new passport design will showcase a photo of Trump taken from his second inaugural portrait. The Washington Passport Agency will issue this version for in-person renewals.

However, online renewals and other passport offices will continue using the current passport design. Critics have voiced their disapproval across social media platforms.

The redesign is part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the United States, expected to take place in summer 2026. Officials have not confirmed how this change aligns with broader commemorative efforts.

This move raises questions about the implications for national identity and public sentiment regarding leadership representation on official documents.
