Microsoft is rolling out Xbox Mode in Windows 11, enhancing the gaming experience for PC users. This feature aims to replicate the user experience of Xbox consoles.

Xbox Mode provides a controller-optimized, full-screen interface for gaming on PCs. It allows players to jump into their games more easily, according to Jason Ronald, a key developer involved.

Key additions to Xbox Game Pass:

  • Five new day-one games have been added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
  • Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is now available as the eighth installment in its series.
  • Aphelion, a new sci-fi action-adventure game from Don’t Nod, is included in the subscription.
  • Inkonbini: One Stores. Many Stories currently holds an impressive 85 on Metacritic.
  • TerraTech Legion, a roguelite action game, is also now part of the lineup.
  • Sledding Game boasts a remarkable 97% approval rating on Steam.

Ian LeGrow emphasized that Xbox Mode adds another way to enjoy games on PCs. The feature is designed specifically for gamers who prefer using controllers.

This update follows the introduction of the Full Screen Experience on Xbox Ally gaming handhelds in 2025. Microsoft continues to innovate in game development and enhance user engagement across platforms.
