AOC’s Campaign Under Investigation for Ketamine Therapy Spending

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign is under investigation for spending $19,000 on psychiatrist Dr. Brian Boyle, who specializes in controversial ketamine therapy. This news comes as AOC publicly condemns the reinstatement of ICE agent Jonathan Ross, involved in the fatal shooting of Renee Good.

AOC’s campaign raised $4.1 million last quarter, totaling $28.9 million for the 2026 election cycle. The spending on Dr. Boyle has raised ethical concerns, especially given his lack of expertise in political campaigns. On January 12, AOC’s campaign paid Dr. Boyle $4,550.

The Film Prize Junior Festival recently awarded AOC Community Media’s student film “John Wish” with two accolades—Founder’s Circle Award and Audience Choice Award for Best Movie Poster. Voting for the Audience Choice Award remains open until May 7.

AOC expressed her outrage regarding Jonathan Ross’s reinstatement after he fatally shot Renee Good, stating, “God forbid, every single American… is in just great danger as she was in.” Her comments reflect broader concerns about public safety and accountability within law enforcement.

Kathy Hochul has formally requested confirmation that Ross has not been reassigned to work in New York State. The controversy surrounding his return to duty raises significant questions about police practices and public safety protocols.

Critics are calling for AOC to clarify her campaign spending. Paul Kamenar stated, “AOC needs to come clean and explain to her contributors and the FEC why she spent almost $24,000… on a Boston psychiatrist.” This scrutiny could impact her support moving forward.

The implications of these events are still unfolding. The intersection of campaign finance ethics and public safety continues to provoke debate among constituents and political analysts alike.
