The Atlanta Braves made 16 selections during day two of the 2026 MLB Draft, spanning rounds 5 through 20. These picks followed their five selections on day one, bringing their total to 21 players drafted over the two days.
Among the day two selections, the Braves focused on a mix of college and high school talent, including several pitchers and catchers. The team began their day two picks with left-handed pitcher Wil Libbert from Ole Miss in the fifth round, at the 144th overall pick. Libbert is noted for his above-average velocity and a four-pitch repertoire, despite a challenging junior season.
Day Two Selections Highlight Diverse Talent
The sixth round saw the Braves select right-handed pitcher Tyson Grulkowski from Muskego HS in Wisconsin as the 173rd overall pick. Grulkowski is described as a high school arm with a strong feel for spin, indicating the Braves’ continued investment in developing talent from the high school ranks.

In the seventh round, the Braves returned to Wisconsin high schools, drafting catcher Jack Brenner from Fond du Lac HS at the 202nd pick. This selection reflects the team’s recent success in developing catchers. The eighth round brought catcher Jacob Jarrell from Clemson, the 232nd overall pick, who is expected to remain behind the plate professionally and finished his senior season with 18 home runs.
The ninth round saw the Braves pick outfielder Parker Brosius from Georgia Tech, the 262nd overall selection, who had a notable senior season with 13 home runs. First baseman Ben Zeigler-Namoa from Hawaii was chosen in the tenth round as the 292nd pick, following strong performances in the Cape Cod League in 2024 and as an MLB Draft League all-star in 2025.
Later Rounds Add Depth to Braves’ Draft Class
As the draft progressed into the later rounds, the Braves continued to add players across various positions. In the 11th round, they selected third baseman Ryne Barker from Casteel HS in Arizona, the 322nd overall pick. Barker is recognized as a premium athlete with a strong hitting ability.
Further selections included catcher Dominic Kibler from Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the 12th round, and right-handed pitcher Cole Dorland from Walnut Grove SS in British Columbia in the 13th round. The 14th round saw the addition of right-handed pitcher Brady Hamilton from Wichita State.
Outfielder Caleb Klein from Southeast Missouri State was drafted in the 15th round. Catcher Dalton Harper from Niagara County CC, who won the NJCAA Division III Player of the Year award in 2026, was selected in the 16th round. The 17th round pick was right-handed pitcher John Damozonio from Saint Mary’s.
The Braves concluded their day two selections with left-handed pitcher Ethan Stade from Bowling Green in the 18th round, catcher Austin Fawley from Ole Miss in the 19th round, and a final pick in the 20th round.

Two first-round picks originated from Indiana colleges: outfielder Carter Beck from Indiana State and pitcher Jack Radel from Notre Dame. Beck, who was selected by the Braves as the 26th overall pick, hit .346 and was recognized as a Missouri Valley Conference first-team and all-defense selection.
