Dolly Parton has canceled her highly anticipated Las Vegas residency due to health concerns. The singer emphasized that this is not a permanent farewell.

Parton, who is currently 80 years old, has been facing various health issues. She has dealt with complications related to her immune and digestive systems.

As of early Tuesday, she stated that she is improving daily but is not yet ready for live performances. Dizziness has been a significant issue affecting her ability to perform.

The Las Vegas residency was initially scheduled for late 2025 but was postponed to September 2026. Officials have not confirmed if this postponement will lead to further changes.

Parton shared, “My immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack.” She also mentioned, “I can’t be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars and such on five inch heels.”

Despite these challenges, she continues to work on her upcoming Broadway project, Dolly: A True Original Musical.

This cancellation follows a history of health challenges over the past few years for the beloved artist. She previously faced complications linked to kidney stones.

Parton reassured her fans saying, “This is a speed bump not a goodbye.” Fans are hopeful for her swift recovery and return to the stage.
