Goldie Hawn, at 80, is open to acting again but only if she finds a script that excites her. Her last major role was in The Christmas Chronicles 2 in 2020.

As of midday, Hawn stated that she would love to find material that makes her feel passionate about acting again. She emphasized the importance of content in her decision.

Hawn has enjoyed a long Hollywood career spanning nearly 60 years. She won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film Cactus Flower back in 1969.

In recent years, Hawn has focused on family and mental health initiatives. She founded the program MindUP over two decades ago, which aims to support children’s mental health.

Hawn has four adult children and eight grandchildren. She often spends time with her partner Kurt Russell at their home in Colorado.

Hawn mentioned that her daughter Kate Hudson has considered writing a project for them. This could potentially lead to a new collaboration.

She also announced the release of her first children’s book, titled The After-School Kindness Crew: Pooch on the Loose #1, set for May 5.

Hawn remarked, “Doing the same thing over and over again for your whole life is not as interesting to me.” This reflects her desire for fresh and engaging roles.

The actress remains optimistic about her future in film. “Never say never, because that could happen at any time,” she said regarding a possible return to acting.
