Tanea Brooks, known as Rebel, has been diagnosed with terminal ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. She shared the news in an emotional video on May 1, 2026.
Brooks is 47 years old and has faced numerous health challenges over the past few years. In 2024, she was diagnosed with primary pulmonary lymphoma.
In her video, Brooks said, “Please continue to pray for a peaceful journey and a peaceful passing. I love you.” She expressed gratitude towards AEW and Tony Khan for their unwavering support throughout her medical journey.

She thanked her supporters for their prayers and asked them to continue praying for her. The wrestling community is rallying around Brooks during this difficult time.
Brooks joined AEW in 2019 and has become an integral part of the wrestling scene. Her diagnosis has sent shockwaves through the AEW community.
